#LoveDestination: Paris city of Love

We wish to share our personal story, our LoveStory started in Paris.

Paris mon amour! City of Love!

Say I love you in Paris. Paris is often portrayed as one of the most romantic cities in the world.

Paris, France’s capital, is a major European city and a global centre for art, fashion, gastronomy, and culture. Its picturesque 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine.

Paris was founded in the 3rd century BC by a Celtic people called the Parisii, who gave the city its name.

Couples in love also enjoy being where they hear French, the “language of love,” spoken all around them. Many couples aspire to go to Paris on their honeymoon because the city is so well-known for its romantic walks along the Seine River, sidewalk cafe dining and, of course, the Eiffel Tower all aglow at night.

Another reason for the romance lies in the fact that Paris is the City of Lights. The name originates from when Paris became the first big city to light up the streets at night with gas lamps. The infamous avenue, Champs Elysées, was filled with bright lights since 1828! Nowadays, it is common for all the big cities to be lit up at night, but what distinguishes Paris from the other cities are its monuments.

Some of Paris’ monuments are worth seeing twice; once in broad daylight, and once in the night. The Eiffel Tower, for instance, looks completely different at night, lit up by thousands of xenon lamps (since 1986).

Paris is a very important and significant city for LoveStoryPeople.
