Nothing is original

The ambition to start my own blog started by the time when I moved to London. I followed my dream, worked very hard for it and am currently discovering a whole new world of opportunities.

Choose wisely and have fun.Start a blog.

I was inspired by so many different and exciting things around me (writers, talks, networking events, exhibitions, symposium …) When you are tired of London you are tired of life! Right? Everything is moving fast and my curiosity is letting me stay awake. I narrowed it down to my latest most inspiration book by Austin Klein, „Steal like an artist“. The book is very handy, so true, and so powerful. I was so thrilled by it so I took the advice to start my own notebook.

reference: Steal like an artist by Austin Klein:

Austin Kleon, not only inspired me to show my work but to  „finally“ start my blog!

„Don’t wait until you know who you are to get started.“
I would like to take you on my journey when I came up with the idea of „LoveStory“. If I’d waited to know who I was or what I was about before I started „being creative“, well I’d still be sitting around trying to figure myself out instead of making things.
(Austin Klein, Steal like an artist, p. 27)

„You are ready. Start making stuff“
Throughout the journey, I’m delighted to show you my „creative process“ and hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Austin is mentioning in his book that every of us might be scared to start! This is exactly how I felt. There is this very real thing that runs rampant in educated people. It’s called „impostor syndrome.“ Well, this description sounded very appealing to me and apparently I’m not the only one having the same feeling. We „all“ need to overcome our fears don’t we?
The clinical definition is a „psychological phenomenon in which people are unable to internalize their accomplishments.“ It means we fell like we have no idea what we are doing. And according to Austin „None of us do!“ „When we would ask anyone doing really creative work, they will tell us the truth: They don’t know where the good stuff comes from. They just show up to do their thing. Every day.“

This helped me believe in my „big idea“.

(Austin Klein, Steal like an artist, p. 29)

There are two ways to read this phrase:

  1. Pretend to be something you’re not until you are- fake it until you’re successful until everybody sees you the way you want them to;or

  2. Pretend to be making something until you actually make something.

Currently, I reached the stage where I’m making stuff and wish to share my brand to the world through my blog and social media. My attitude towards is that I dress for the job I want, not for the one I have, and I started doing the work I want to be doing. I started working at the early age of 16 in retail and as a brand ambassador and had the chance to work for big brands in project management, marketing/sales and PR. But my real passion has always been Fashion.

To me, Fashion is much more than just „clothes“. Fashion is ART! The perfect illusion to show your personality without even saying the world.

When we think about luxury brands we think heritage, aren’t we? What does it actually mean? The long history, the person behind an empire? The desire to be part of the century by creating foundations and being sponsors of sports events trying to find the right position for the brand in the competitive marketplace? Throughout my studies, I have always been thrilled by the history of each brand, their passion, and desire to be different to others and make a milestone in the century.

By starting this blog I’m overcoming my fear of „not being understood“. Moschino became successful by „making fun of the fashion world, by not taking it too serious“.
Today is the day where I’m delighted to invite you on the exciting journey of the development of the LoveStory People brand. Follow me and become part of it.

In the next post, I will introduce you to the „brand birth“, stay curious and don’t hesitate to get in touch. (
